To renovate the art of authentic imprinting to both integrate and complement digital forms of media, propagating an experience that cannot be achieved by one medium exclusively.
These two distinct forms should not exist entirely independently of each other to embrace a concept; each should utilize its unique capabilities of expression to cultivate a symbiotic union. Together the two can aim to construct a comprehensive depiction, however close or distant.
All arts need a substrate, and each medium can represent it in different ways. A still image is not a photograph without the perception of color printed on paper or projected on a screen. Words can be unwritten or they can be scripted; recorded and interpreted in an infinite amount of ways depending on the origin, vehicle and destination. Distribution of an idea, or lack thereof, also plays a role in its impact. This journey from A to B helps exemplify the power of press, by both inclusion and omission. Harnessing the proper combination of variables in media is our focus as we attempt to create living printed pieces that only increase in relevance after they are initially produced, transcending the time-specific nature of traditional print.
